Wedding Vows and Promises

A rehearsal takes about 60-90 minutes, depending on the wedding details. It is good
to have everyone there on time. Bringing any props that will be used is also wise.
And if you can remember bring the marriage license.
A formal, custom ceremony takes about 10 hours, from the first meeting to the end of
the wedding. So any help, is always welcome! There are many good books on the
market, and I am always available to assist you as well. And though you may not be
particularly religious, this is a solemn and life changing event.
It's used for the more involved weddings that require a rehearsal. It protects both
you and me.
* The retainer is nonrefundable.

Occasionally it is suggested. It's never wasted time.
The county in which you live or plan to be married can give you the exact information
you need. Usually the County Clerk is located at the courthouse; Probate Court. And
most have recorded information when you call their number. Most marriage license
are good for 30-90 days. The Officiant must have the license before the ceremony.
Etiquette says you are to invite him/her & their companion, to the reception, if they
are your pastor. A hired officiant, no, unless you have developed a particular bond or
would like the officiant to attend. Do not expect the officiant to stay unless an
invitation has be offered. An invitation though, is always courteous.
Your officiant will not be offended if you do not give them a gratuity; it is not
expected. Again, if your officiant is your pastor, by all means acknowledge him with a
tip. A hired officiant, only if you feel inclined to do so; a gratuity is a concrete way to
let the officiant know you appreciate their contribution. Of all wedding expenses, the
officiant is the least paid.
